Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) about the Institutes' Demonstration Examination Software

1. Can I see a demo exam for the course I am studying?
   We off two representative demo exams; one for essay exams; one for objective exams.
   
   
2. What exams are represented by "Essay" and "Objective" demo exams?
   The essaydemo exam represents an essay version of a CPCU exam; the objective demo exam represents objective exams similar to all IIA exams and also CPCU 553 and CPCU 557.
   
   
3. Is the reference materials presented in the essay demo exam similar to the actual CPCU reference materials?
   Yes, the reference materials presented in the essay demo exam are similar to the reference materials presented in the actual CPCU 540 exam.
   
   
4. What Center ID should I be using?
   WDEMO
   
   
5. How do check or update the Center ID after installation?
   The config.xml file contains the Center ID. This file is located in the program installation directory. The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\AICPCU\IEEAG5DEMO directory. You can edit the file using a text editor like Notepad. The Center ID in the config.xml file is shown in bold.

6. I've entered WDEMO as the center ID, but I'm getting the message saying "Script Failed"
   Run Initialize process again. If you still get message saying "Script Failed" then re-install the demo program. You can initialize the program using the:

   Start -> Programs -> IEEAG5DEMO -> Initialize icon.

   If the initialization is successful then you will receive a "Success download" message or if not successful then you will a "Script Failed" message. If successful then you can launch the program and run the demo exams.
   
   
7. I followed the instructions to download and install the demo, but nothing is happening and I don't know where to find it on my PC.
   From the START menu, located on your desktop, click "Programs" then click "IEEAG5DEMO" from the list. Click "IEEAG5DEMO" icon to start the demo program.
   
   
8. Can I print out the questions?
   No. The demo exam is interactive; therefore it is not possible to print it out. The questions used in the demo exams are not representative of examination items for any one program.
   
   
9. Can I view a demo exam more than one time?
   Yes, you can view it as many times as you'd like. (See #7)
   
   
10. Is the demo exam exactly like the real one I will be taking?
    Except for the content, it is just like an actual exam.
